Alumni and Jr. Prospects coach Ethan Elias has been assigned by the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Kane County Cougars, their Class A affiliate.  Ethan was signed by the Diamondbacks organization in March after spending last year in independent ball, pitching for the Normal Cornbelters of the Frontier League.  Elias, who spends his off-seasons training with Academy strength and conditioning coach Taylor Burns, coaches the Jr. Prospects throughout the winter.  He played for the inaugural Prospects in 2009-10 as well as the following year before being drafted and signed by the Chicago Cubs in 2011.
